Indian Origin Couple Jailed: An Indian-origin couple living in Britain has been found guilty of sending cocaine. They are accused of sending more than half a ton of narcotics to Australia. After in-depth investigation of the matter, it was found that this couple was associated with a company. Through this company, he transported cocaine to Australia by plane through a metal toolbox.
After this serious matter came to light, the Government of India has demanded the extradition of the accused. This is not the first time that India has demanded extradition of the accused from Britain. Even before this, the government had demanded extradition on charges of murder of his adopted son in Gujarat.
Sentenced to 33-33 years
After being found guilty, the couple was sentenced to 33 years each. The investigating agency said in a statement last Monday that in 2021, the Australian Border Force had caught him with cocaine worth 57 million pounds. During the investigation, NCA officials identified them as a couple from Ealing who were of Indian origin.

The accused couple has been identified as Aarti Dheer and Kawaljit Singh Raizada. Aarti’s age is said to be 59 years, while Kawaljeet is 35 years old. Whereas Dheer and Raizada say that they have nothing to do with this matter.
Following a hearing at Southwark Crown Court on Monday, a jury of judges found him guilty of 12 counts of export and 18 counts of money laundering. It is expected that if these substances were sold in Australia, they would be sold for around 57 million pounds.
